May 2026 The Inside Scoop with Luna

As overheard from my basket beside Vanessa Benedict, Wealth Advisor & Portfolio Manager

As observed from my basket beside Vanessa. I notice that mothers never really stop being mothers. Even as their children grow older, move out, and build lives of their own, the worry simply changes shape.

These are older mothers now. They’ve done the hard years already. They raised families, worked, supported, and saved where they could. And yet, I see them still carrying concern not for themselves, but for the world their children are navigating today.

They talk about the housing they couldn’t afford when they started out. Careers that seem less predictable. Costs that rise faster than confidence. Sometimes they laugh it off. Sometimes their voices soften. The love underneath it all is unmistakable.

What I have learned from watching is that a mother’s instinct to provide doesn’t fade with time. They want stability for their children, even when they can’t control the outcome. They want to help, even if help now looks different from what it once did. Loving across generations takes steadiness. It always has.

That’s what I notice.

Until next time,
